Weather Situation

A low pressure trough connected to a cold front over Bass Strait will travel east early today. In the wake of the trough a high pressure ridge to the southwest is forecast to extend north over the State through the day. Another trough follows on Tuesday, initially approaching north west Victoria then stretching south over Bass Strait on Wednesday as the ridge shifts east. On Thursday a low pressure circulation builds to the west and connects to the trough over Victoria.
