A large high pressure system over southeastern Australia will move out into the Tasman Sea today, turning winds north to northwesterly over Bass Strait. Winds strengthening on Monday as a cold front approaches, then turning westerly on Tuesday as the front crosses Bass Strait. A weak high pressure system then passes to the north of Victoria on Wednesday.
