Wineglass Bay to Tasman Island

Weather Situation: A low pressure system is approaching Tasmania from the west and will pass close to the south during Sunday. A cold front associated with the low will cross Sunday morning with a cool west to southwesterly airstream to follow which will persist into Monday. Later Monday, a large and significant low pressure system is expected to move over the Bight and approach Tasmania, extending a warm front over the state early Tuesday. The low complex then moves over Tasmanian and remains in the vicinity throughout Wednesday.

Wineglass Bay to Tasman Island

Wind: West to northwesterly about 10 knots increasing to 15 to 20 knots before dawn. Winds reaching up to 25 knots offshore in the evening.

Seas: Around 1 metre, increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres during the morning, then increasing to 1 to 2 metres by early evening.

1st Swell: Southwesterly below 1 metre inshore, increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres offshore.

Wind: Westerly 20 to 25 knots increasing to 20 to 30 knots before dawn then tending northwest to southwesterly 15 to 25 knots in the early morning.

1st Swell: Southwesterly 1 to 1.5 metres, increasing to 1.5 to 2.5 metres during the morning.

Seas: Around 1 metre, increasing to 1 to 1.5 metres offshore during the morning.

1st Swell: South to southwesterly 1 to 1.5 metres inshore, increasing to 1.5 to 2.5 metres offshore.
