A high pressure system centred over mainland Australia extends a ridge southwards over Tasmania. A low pressure system off the NSW coast driving southeasterlies about eastern Tasmania is forecast to move eastwards into the Tasman Sea from today. The ridge is expected to move to the east of Tasmania on Friday, with a northerly stream building during Saturday.
