South East Cape to Low Rocky Point

Wind: Northwesterly 10 to 15 knots, reaching up to 20 knots near Maatsuyker Island.

Weather Situation: A low pressure system is approaching Tasmania from the west and will pass close to the south during Sunday. A cold front associated with the low will cross Sunday morning with a cool west to southwesterly airstream to follow which will persist into Monday. Later Monday, a large and significant low pressure system is expected to move over the Bight and approach Tasmania, extending a warm front over the state early Tuesday. The low complex then moves over Tasmanian and remains in the vicinity throughout Wednesday.

South East Cape to Low Rocky Point

Wind: Northwesterly 15 to 20 knots turning southwesterly 15 to 25 knots in the early afternoon. Winds reaching up to 30 knots in the evening.

Seas: 1 to 1.5 metres, increasing to 1.5 to 2.5 metres during the afternoon.

1st Swell: Westerly 2 metres, increasing to 2 to 3 metres during the morning, then increasing to 3 to 4 metres during the afternoon.

South East Cape to Low Rocky Point

Wind: Southwesterly 25 to 30 knots tending west to southwesterly 15 to 25 knots before dawn then shifting east to northeasterly 10 to 15 knots in the evening.

Seas: 1.5 to 2.5 metres, decreasing below 1.5 metres around midday, then decreasing below 1 metre by early evening.

1st Swell: Westerly 4 metres, tending southwesterly 3 to 4 metres during the morning, then decreasing to 2.5 to 3 metres around midday.

1st Swell: Southwesterly 1.5 to 2.5 metres, decreasing to 1.5 metres during the evening.
