A ridge of high pressure to the northeast of Tasmania is producing a northwesterly air stream over the state, with this pattern expected to continue across the weekend. A trough is forecast to brush the west of Tasmania during Monday ahead of a cold front to cross early Tuesday morning, with a deep low expected to move to the south of the state later Tuesday.
