A cold front approaching from the west is forecast to cross Tasmania this morning. A southwesterly flow will develop over the state this afternoon and evening, before a second cold front is forecast to brush the south and west of the state during Friday. A high pressure system over mainland Australia is expected to extend a ridge over Tasmania early Saturday, with a northwesterly stream to develop on Saturday afternoon ahead of another cold front which is forecast to cross the state Sunday afternoon.
