A westerly stream continues over Tasmania today, with a ridge to build over the state later tonight as a high moves quickly over Victoria. A northwesterly airstream will develop during Thursday as the high moves over the northern Tasman Sea. Cold fronts are expected to cross Tasmania early Friday morning and during Friday evening, with another cold front to approach the state from the west late Saturday evening.
