Weather Situation

A low pressure system developing in the Bight, brings a relatively warm and humid northerly airstream across Tasmania. The low centre will approach from the west on Thursday, slip to the south and extend an associated cold front over the state on Friday. A much cooler south to southwesterly airstream is expected to follow the cold front, with a ridge of high pressure forecast to develop over the state through the weekend.
