A cold southwesterly airstream will strengthen overnight as a trough crosses Tasmania, with the stream to slowly weaken through Friday and Saturday as a high centre builds over the Bight. The high is expected to slowly approach Tasmania during Sunday and Monday, with the high centre to lie just to the south of the state by Monday evening.
