A high pressure system to the west of Tasmania extends a ridge over the state, with the high centre to slowly move to be north of the state later on Thursday while still maintaining the ridge across Tasmania. A low pressure system off the the NSW central coast will deepen on Tuesday and Wednesday, while extending a trough over eastern Tasmania. The ridge is expected to move to the east of Tasmania on Friday as the low moves away towards New Zealand.
