Weather Situation

A high pressure ridge over the northwest will move through Bass Strait on Tuesday as a weak trough slips across the south of the state. This high pressure system will establish in the Tasman Sea on Wednesday with a another trough sweeping across the state on Wednesday. This trough will linger just off the northeast coast until a strong cold front approaches from the west coast late Friday.
