- A weak cold front approaches the southwest of the state, forecast to cross overnight tonight. A ridge of high pressure is expected to follow, moving over Tasmania from the west during Friday, concurrently with a trough and associated low pressure system deepening over Victoria. The trough is forecast to move near the east of Tasmania on Saturday, before moving away to the southeast on Sunday. A weak high pressure ridge is forecast to move over from the west early Monday ahead of an approaching cold front.
