- A high pressure system quickly clears to the east of Tasmania ahead of an approaching cold front expected to cross the state during this afternoon. Another high pressure system is forecast to move over Tasmania from the west on Monday before clearing over the Tasman Sea by Tuesday. A trough is forecast to extend over the northeast from the mainland on Tuesday, as a cold front clips the south of the state. Another high pressure ridge is expected to extend over Tasmania from the west on Wednesday.
