A high pressure system centred well to the west of Tasmania extends a ridge over the state, forecast to move across the state during Monday before moving over the Tasman Sea during Tuesday. Northerly flow is expected to build during Tuesday over Tasmania ahead of an approaching trough, forecast to cross during early Wednesday. A broad trough is forecast to cross the state during Thursday, ahead of an approaching cold front.
