A weak ridge forms over Tasmania today as a weak cold front brushes by the south this evening. Another ridge will develop to the south of Tasmania during Thursday as a low deepens over South Australia. This low approaches Tasmania from the northwest on Friday and moves over the state during the day, before moving over the Tasman Sea overnight into Saturday. A high pressure ridge develops over the state Saturday afternoon before a high travels over Sunday.
