Weather Situation

A high pressure centre is moving slowly to the south during the day, shifting the flow easterly. A trough over Victoria is forecast to extend south into Bass Strait today before the high centre is expected to move away to the southeast, shifting the flow northeasterly ahead of an approaching trough to the northwest of the state on Monday. The trough is expected to move over the inshore waters later on Tuesday, followed by a cold front later Wednesday.
