Weather Situation

South to southwesterly winds with a low pressure trough moving up the northern coast will ease late Sunday as the trough stalls in the far north. Variable winds in the south will tend west to northwesterly and strengthen Sunday afternoon or evening as a front sweeps through Victoria. Meanwhile, north to northwesterly winds will prevail in the far north, north of the trough. The winds tend west to southwesterly about southern and central waters on Monday as the front moves away over the Tasman. The winds then tend north to northeasterly almost everywhere along the coast from late Tuesday as a new low pressure trough approaches from the west.
