Weather Situation
A slow moving high pressure system over the Tasman Sea extends a ridge to the state's east, maintaining fresh northeasterly airstream over coastal waters. The ridge is forecast to persist over the north coast through the week while a series of troughs brushes the southern half of the coast on Wednesday and on Friday.
