A high pressure system over the Tasman Sea extends a ridge towards the north coast. A trough is forecast to cross the southern and central parts of the coast today, bringing a fresh southerly wind change in its wake, before stalling about the Central Coast on Thursday and gradually weakening. This system will be followed by a high pressure system passing to the south, maintaining onshore easterly airstream across the coastal waters into the weekend.
