A high over the Tasman Sea extends a ridge over northern coastal waters, while a trough is brushing the southern and central parts of the coast, bringing a coastal southerly change in its wake, before stalling about the Hunter Coast later today. Then, a series of high pressure systems will pass to the south, maintaining moist onshore easterly winds through the second half of the week.
