A cold front stalls about the Macquarie coast, with northerly winds ahead of the front and east to southeasterly winds behind the front. Winds become variable for a time overnight and into Tuesday before a southerly change arrives on Tuesday. Winds will briefly turn northerly before a high pressure system builds in the Bight, directing another, stronger, southerly change over NSW coastal waters.
