Weather Situation
A high pressure system over the Bight extends a ridge across the south as it drifts eastwards, while a trough lies off southeast Queensland coast, maintaining east to southeasterly winds across the coastal waters today. Winds will gradually turn northeasterly midweek onwards as the trough in the north moves offshore while the High enters the Tasman Sea. Northerly winds will increase later in the week through the weekend as the high continues tracking further east towards New Zealand while the next trough and cold front approach from the west.
