- Weather Situation
- A strong high pressure system to the southwest of the state extends a ridge across the far south coast while a coastal trough near the southern Mid North Coast slowly heads northwards, maintaining strong to gale force south to southeasterly winds and large powerful surf, particularly along the north coast. Winds and surf are forecast to ease gradually from midweek onwards as the trough gradually weakens ahead of a series of cold fronts and associated troughs approaching the state towards the end of the week.
