The winds are south to southeasterly along the northern half of the coast and east to southeasterly along the southern half today with a high pressure system moving through western and southern New South Wales and a low pressure trough over the state's northeast. On Sunday, the winds tend southeast to northeasterly along the northern coast and gusty north to northeasterly along central and southern parts of the coast as the trough weakens and the high moves over the Tasman Sea. The next trough will bring a southerly change to the southern coast late Monday, reaching central parts of the coast Tuesday morning, before weakening late Tuesday.
