Tropical Cyclone Fina remains a small but intense category three system on the Northern Territory's Top End as it slowly moves south-west, away from Darwin.
The Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) says the destructive core of the cyclone is now located well off the north-west Top End coast.
It is expected to remain a severe tropical cyclone during Sunday as it moves south-west, through the southern Timor Sea.
The BOM's latest update shows the cyclone has sustained winds of 150 kilometres per hour near its centre, with wind gusts up to 205 km/h.

Tropical Cyclone Fina is expected to start weakening during Monday as it nears the north of the Kimberley coast.

A warning zone includes Wadeye to Dundee Beach in the Northern Territory, as well as the NT/WA border to Troughton Island, including Kalumburu in Western Australia.
People living in the warning zone should immediately commence or continue preparations, especially securing boats and property.
