Warm and sunny weather is forecast for the majority of Queensland as the school holidays begin and tourists flock to the Sunshine State.
"For September in Queensland, it's probably about as good as we can hope for," Bureau of Meteorology senior forecaster Baden Gilbert said.
"The temperatures jump up again with the numbers getting close to 30 degrees for the south-east and getting up into the low 30s across the southern interior."
Monday's maximum temperatures are forecast to be:
There is the possibility of a shower for parts of the south-east on Monday and Tuesday, with the Far North looking at a possible shower on Tuesday and Wednesday.
"By the time we get to Friday, it's pretty much looking clear for the entire state at the moment, which is pretty fun to say as we don't say that very often," Mr Gilbert said.
The start of the week will have less humidity than last week, he added.
"It's looking drier for the south-east for the next few days … but we could start to see some humidity start to creep in next weekend."
For holiday-makers, beach conditions are optimal with the ocean temperature in the south-east about 22 degrees.
"Wind-wise for the next couple of days there's actually not any huge wind drivers in place," Mr Gilbert said.
"I can definitely say to make the most of the beautiful spring weather while we have it, because I know what summer is like in Queensland."
Last week, the bureau warned of a potential La Niña, bringing another wet, severe weather season, with an increased risk of flooding, thunderstorms and cyclones.
"The rest of the month is looking dry and average, which is great, but as we're going to October, we start to see some of those above-average rainfall signals come back into long-range forecasting," Mr Gilbert said.
