Weather Situation
A strong high pressure system to the southeast of the state extends a ridge across the south coast while a coastal trough lies off the Mid North Coast, bringing fresh southeasterly winds to Sydney Waters. Then, the trough looks set to move slowly towards the far north coast and weaken through the mid to late this week while another low pressure system forms off the central coast late Thursday or early Friday. The second low will then move south towards the far south coast by late Friday and head to the southern Tasman Sea ahead of a series of cold fronts that looks set to cross the state on the weekend through early new week.
