Weather Situation
A high pressure system in the Tasman Sea extends a ridge to the south of the state, while a low lies off the Mid North Coast, bringing fresh east to southeasterly winds to the Sydney Local Waters. Winds will turn west to northwesterly as the trough moves southwards and deepens. Thereafter a series of cold fronts will cross the local waters on the weekend into early next week, bringing generally westerly winds along the coast.
