Weather Situation

A weakening low pressure system will move offshore and away from the northern waters today, with another low deepening over the northern Tasman Sea. These lows will generate vigorous southeasterly winds and large and powerful waves, mainly along the northern and central parts of the coast, before they move away to the east on Monday. A ridge of high pressure is expected to develop in the wake of these lows and the next front looks set to brush the far southern waters on Tuesday.
