Minor Flood Warning for the Fitzroy River

MINOR FLOODING LIKELY AT FITZROY CROSSING FROM LATE TUESDAY AFTERNOON AND POSSIBLE AT NOONKANBAH OVERNIGHT TUESDAY INTO WEDNESDAY

Moderate to heavy rainfall over the upper Fitzroy River and Margaret River catchments in recent days has resulted in river rises along both rivers. Minor flooding is occurring along the Margaret River at Margaret Gorge and at Mount Krauss. Along the Fitzroy River, minor flooding is likely at Fitzroy Crossing from late Tuesday afternoon. Further downstream, minor flooding is possible at Noonkanbah overnight Tuesday into Wednesday.

Further rainfall is forecast across the catchment for the next few days, which may cause further or renewed river level rises. This situation is being closely monitored, and this warning will be updated as required.

Minor flooding is possible along the Fitzroy River from Fitzroy Crossing to Noonkanbah.

Fitzroy River from Noonkanbah to Willare

Elevated river levels are occurring downstream of Noonkanbah to Willare Crossing. Further rises are possible.
