Bush Walkers Weather Alert

Issued at 4:11 PM EST on Wednesday 22 Jul 2026.

Bush walkers are advised that strong westerly winds, low temperatures and snow falling to around 400 metres are expected during Thursday. Snow may fall to around 300 metres in the southwest. These hazardous conditions are expected to occur in parts of the Western and Central Plateau forecast districts.

The next warning will be issued by 11:00 pm EST Wednesday.
