Fire Weather Warning
Issued at 4:13 AM CDT on Friday 9 Jan 2026.
Very hot and dry conditions with fresh to strong and gusty north to northwesterly winds expected over large areas of South Australia today. A relatively stationary trough extending from the west along the coast will strengthen and accelerate through the day, moving eastwards and bringing cooler and gusty conditions in it's wake. Isolated thunderstorms are expected, mainly ahead of and near the change. Little precipitation is likely with thunderstorms, bringing the risk of dry lightning and damaging wind gusts.Friday 9 Jan
