MINOR TO MODERATE FLOODING CONTINUING ALONG EYRE CREEK

MINOR FLOODING OCCURRING AT GEORGINA RIVER AT MARION DOWNS

Floodwater caused by rainfall in mid-February is moving downstraem along the Georgina River, with the flood peak expected to be between Glenormiston and Marion Downs.

Minor to moderate flooding is easing along Eyre Creek, with renewed rises likely from weekend as further floodwater from the Georgina River slowly arrives.

No significant rainfall totals have been recorded over the Georgina and Eyre Creek catchment during 24 hours to 11:00 am Monday. No widespread significant rainfall is forecast over the next few days.

Georgina River to Marion Downs

Minor flooding is easing along the Georgina River between Roxborough Downs and Glenormiston, with the peak moving slowly towards Marion Downs.

Georgina River downstream of Marion Downs

River levels are elevated along the Georgina River downstream of Marion Downs, with renewed river level rises expected as floodwater arrives from upstream.

Eyre Creek

Minor to moderate flooding is easing slowly along Eyre Creek. Renewed rises are likely from the weekend as floodwater arrives from upstream.
