MODERATE FLOODING POSSIBLE AT YATTON FROM MONDAY AFTERNOON
MINOR FLOODING POSSIBLE AT TAROOM AND THEODORE WEIR FROM MONDAY EVENING
Moderate to heavy rainfall has been observed across parts of the Dawson, Connors and Isaac Rivers, with further heavy rainfall forecast for the remainder of Sunday and Monday. Rainfall has been particularly heavy across the Funnel Creek catchment and rapid river level rises have been observed.
Along the Dawson River minor flooding is possible at Taroom and Theodore Weir from Monday evening. Along the Isaac River minor flooding may develop at Yatton overnight Sunday into Monday with moderate flooding possible from Monday afternoon.
Further rainfall is forecast for the remainder of the Sunday and into the new week. Higher and earlier river level rises are possible, depending on the timing and intensity of rainfall.
A Flood Watch is current for most of Queensland. A Severe Weather Warning for heavy rainfall is current for large parts of southeast Queensland, including parts of the Dawson River catchment.
Dawson River to Theodore
Minor flooding is possible at Taroom and Theodore with further rises possible with forecast rain.
Connors and Isaac Rivers
Moderate flooding is possible at Yatton with further rises possible with forecast rain.
