Issued at 12:32 AM EST on Monday 19 May 2025.
MINOR TO MODERATE FLOODING LIKELY IN PARTS OF THE NORTHERN RIVERS, HUNTER AND MID NORTH COAST FROM MONDAY EVENING, WITH ISOLATED MAJOR FLOODING POSSIBLE
A coastal trough is positioned about the southern Mid North Coast, and is forecast to slowly track northwards into Tuesday. This trough is expected to bring multiple days of widespread moderate to heavy rainfall about central parts of the NSW coast and is likely to cause minor to moderate flooding from Monday evening.

The exact location and timing of the heaviest falls is uncertain. However, isolated major flooding, alongside localised river level rises, and flash flooding are likely within the areas of heaviest rainfall.
Flood Classes (minor, moderate, major) are only defined for catchments where the Bureau provides a flood warning service. A severe weather warning is current for Mid North Coast and parts of Hunter, Northern Tablelands and North West Slopes and Plains Forecast Districts.
