Coastal Hazard Warning

Weather Situation

Damaging Surf possible from the Hunter to the Mid North Coast.
Weather Situation: A coastal trough near the Mid North Coast district is continuing to bring fresh to strong and gusty winds and elevated east to southeasterly waves between the Hunter and Mid North coasts.
DAMAGING SURF CONDITIONS are possible between The Entrance and Seal Rocks, extending to south of Port Macquarie later this evening and south of Coffs Harbour tomorrow morning. These conditions may lead to localised damage and coastal erosion.
Beach conditions in these areas could be dangerous and people should stay well away from the surf and surf exposed areas.
Locations which may be affected include Coffs Harbour, Port Macquarie, Newcastle and The Entrance.
A Hazardous Surf Warning is also current.
A Severe Weather Warning for Heavy Rainfall and Damaging Winds has also been issued.
A Flood Watch is also current.

The State Emergency Service advises that people should:
