Flood Warning for the Upper Victoria River

RENEWED FLOODING POSSIBLE AT KALKARINDJI FROM OVERNIGHT TUESDAY INTO WEDNESDAY
Recent moderate rainfall across the upper Victoria River catchment caused a minor flood peak during Monday morning at Kalkarindji. The river level has now fallen below the minor flood level, however, renewed flooding is possible from overnight Tuesday into Wednesday with forecast rainfall.
Continued rainfall associated with the monsoon trough is forecast over the next few days which may cause further river level rises. The situation will be closely monitored and this warning will be updated as required.
A Flood Watch is current for parts of the Bonaparte, North West Coastal and Carpentaria Coastal River catchments.
