A high [1025 hPa] over central Australia extends a ridge of high pressure and south to southwesterly wind flow over South Queensland Waters. The ridge will persist for several days as the high moves slowly east over central and eastern Australia. Fresh west to southwesterly winds will persist over the South Queensland waters south of Sandy Cape, easing early next week.
