A high pressure ridge extends over western Victoria and persists today. A low pressure system in the Tasman Sea approaches from the east late Sunday and lingers in eastern Bass Strait on Monday pushing the ridge back over South Australia. The low will hover over the Tasman Sea through to mid-week maintaining a broad southerly flow across the state.
