- Large and powerful surf conditions in the morning are expected to be hazardous for coastal activities such as crossing bars by boat and rock fishing, particularly for south facing beaches.

- A low pressure system to the east of the state is directing near on shore flow whilst a high pressure system centred south of the Bight extends a ridge to the east. A front will move over the Tasman Sea throughout the day making way for the slow-moving high which is expected to become the dominant feature for coming week.
