Weather Situation
A high [1024 hPa] over southern Australia extends a ridge of high pressure over the South Queensland Waters. This is combining with a cold front and low pressure system in the Tasman Sea to produce fresh to strong west to southwesterly winds over far southern waters tonight and into tomorrow. Winds will shift southerly from Thursday as the low pressure system moves slowly eastwards, before shifting more west to southwesterly again by the weekend as the low deepens and stalls in the Tasman Sea.
