A high [1023 hPa] over southern Australia extends a ridge of high pressure over the South Queensland Waters. The ridge will persist for several days and may combine with a developing low in the Tasman Sea later this weekend and early next week to enhance west to southwesterly winds over the South Queensland waters south of Sandy Cape.
