Weather Situation

A high [1032 hPa] centred over the Tasman Sea extends a ridge of high pressure over the northern Queensland waters. The ridge will weaken on Saturday as the high moves away to the east and a trough moves east across state. The trough and associated southerly wind change will move across waters south of Cairns on Sunday.
