A high pressure ridge hovers over western Victoria. A low pressure system in the Tasman Sea will approach from the east tonight and lingers in eastern Bass Strait on Monday pushing the ridge back to South Australia. The low will hover over the Tasman Sea through to mid-week maintaining a broad southerly flow across Victoria.
